Young Apostasy and Patterns of Faithful Retention

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

In this post we look at some new data on the flip-side of the tragic Christian youth slide away from faith chronicled over the last decade and a half of the 21st century.

Some of the sociologists have been recently attempting to determine if there are any patterns in the 30% of Christian youth that HELD THE LINE and came through their late teens / early twenties - most on campus, some not - maintaining the Christianity inherited from the home. These analyses have been conducted over the last three years.

This should be profoundly interesting for anyone concerned with this devastating trend among young Christians - though Gen Z seems to be less variable on this subject. Families who have children and are currently engaged in what the Bible refers to as "raising a child in the way that they should go" (Prov. 22) Have a blessed day.
